Metro: Last Light is heading to Linux and OSX

Metro: Last Light is headed to Linux and OSX. It will support Steam Play, which means that current owners of the Steam version of the game will be able to play the Linux and OSX versions, as well as having it added automatically to their library. I’m keen to see the performance enhancements over the Windows versions, as well as how stable the code will be. All the development was handled in-house by 4A as well. For a small development team they sure pulled off far more than most Triple A developers have in such a short time.

Good news? Excellent. Half-life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 on Linux? Well if this news is anything to go by that’s inevitable.

Want more? Here’s the Twitter Page, Facebook Page and Official Website of the game.

UPDATE: The Mac version of the game will be releasing September 10, 2013. The Linux version is scheduled for later but the release date was not announced. More info on the Facebook page 🙂
